What You Will Do In Your Role:

• You will be responsible for the provision of safe and effective care of the perioperative patient in the pre-operative and post-operative phase.

• You will work towards and achieve goals set in the previous evaluation period and assume responsibility for the efficient management of patients admitted to the Same Day Surgery Unit.

• You will perform pre-operative, pre-procedure assessments of patients immediately prior to planned intervention.

• You will plan, coordinate, and provide, nursing care according to individual patient care needs.

What qualifications you will need:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, BSN preferred.

• Current licensure in Texas as a Registered Nurse required.

• 2 years medical surgical experience, with preference for post anesthesia care experience

• American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support course (BLS or BCLS) and certification is required.

• American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Life Support course (ALS or ACLS) and certification is required.

• American Red Cross or American Heart Association Pediatric Life Support course (PLS or PCLS) and certification is required.
