Finance Assistant – Entry Level

About the Opportunity

Bellows Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Electrical is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our growing team.

This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone interested in building a career in finance, accounting, or business administration. No prior finance experience is required. We're looking for someone who is organized, dependable, eager to learn, and ready to take on new challenges.

You'll work directly with our finance team, assisting with day-to-day financial operations while gaining valuable hands-on experience. As you develop your skills and understanding of the business, there will be opportunities to take on additional responsibilities and grow within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the finance and accounting team with daily assignments and administrative tasks.

  • Answer incoming customer calls regarding payments, deposits, refunds, financing, and account balances.

  • Assist customers with billing questions and payment-related concerns.

  • Follow up on outstanding customer balances and assist with accounts receivable collections.

  • Prepare, track, and process lien notices and related documentation as directed.

  • Maintain accurate financial records and customer account information.

  • Assist with payment processing, refunds, and account reconciliations.

  • Coordinate with other departments to resolve billing and payment issues.

  • Take on additional finance and administrative responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Good communication and customer service skills.

  • Comfortable speaking with customers over the phone.

  • Basic computer skills and willingness to learn new software.

  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and follow through on tasks.

  • Dependable, professional, and able to handle confidential information.

  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Preferred but Not Required:

  • Previous experience in finance, accounting, billing, or office administration.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, or similar business software.

  • Experience handling customer payments or accounts receivable.
