Job Summary

The Quality and RAM Engineer provides collocated Quality Engineering and Reliability, Availability and Maintainability expertise to a mission-focused program management office supporting the TAGM weapon system. This position supports product quality, system reliability, qualification, production, testing, and corrective-action activities throughout the program lifecycle. The engineer develops quality and reliability products, evaluates technical data, and provides findings and recommendations that support informed program decisions. The role works closely with program leadership, product offices, government organizations, prime contractors, and subcontractors to resolve complex technical issues and advance program objectives. Clear technical communication, disciplined task management, cross-functional collaboration, and attention to engineering detail are integral to the position.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide Quality Engineering and RAM Engineering support for TAGM program development, qualification, production, testing, fielding, and sustainment activities.

  • Evaluate quality management systems, supply chain quality, qualification testing, producibility, technical data packages, statements of work, first article testing, factory acceptance testing, and test-equipment validation.

  • Lead and support root-cause failure analyses, corrective actions, defect tracking, trend analysis, Failure Review Boards, and Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System activities.

  • Manage TAGM products in accordance with the approved Parts Management Program Plan process.

  • Develop Reliability Program Plans, RAM prediction reports, reliability-growth documentation, FMECA evaluations, and Reliability Qualification Test plans and reports.

  • Represent the TAGM program during weapon-system reliability scoring conferences and other technical reviews.

  • Implement program policies, processes, procedures, risk assessments, and technical reviews and recommend courses of action supporting program objectives.

  • Assign, manage, and track engineering tasks while providing technical status, significant events, risks, findings, and recommendations to program leadership.

  • Prepare and deliver technical briefings and written reports and coordinate with government organizations, prime contractors, subcontractors, customers, and other program stakeholders.

  • Other duties as assigned in support of mission and business requirements.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution and 5 or more years of engineering experience supporting quality, reliability, maintainability, systems engineering, manufacturing, testing, or related technical activities.

  • Experience performing root-cause analysis, corrective-action management, failure analysis, defect tracking, or engineering trend analysis.

  • Experience developing or evaluating reliability analyses, FMEA/FMECA products, reliability predictions, reliability-growth documentation, or reliability test plans.

  • Experience preparing technical reports and briefings for program management, customers, or senior leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience providing Quality Engineering or RAM Engineering support to missile, aviation, weapon-system, or other complex defense programs.

  • Experience supporting Failure Review Boards and administering or contributing to a FRACAS process.

  • Experience with qualification testing, first article testing, factory acceptance testing, supplier quality, producibility assessments, or technical data package reviews.

  • Experience developing Reliability Program Plans, RAM prediction reports, Reliability Qualification Test documentation, or reliability scoring criteria.

  • Experience interfacing with government program offices, prime contractors, subcontractors, and external engineering organizations.
