Under general direction, manages regional sales activity for the ARM debris and leaf collection heavy equipment product lines (truck and trailer platforms). Reports to the Director of Sales and Marketing.

Directs, trains, manages, and supports dealer sales force regarding product, market, and sales skill knowledge.

Recommends number and size of sales territories, negotiates delivery and product availability and terms, and sales allowances.

Conducts frequent demonstrations of products with dealers. (On avg 8-9 per month)

Evaluates territory regiments, interviews new potential dealers.

Identify and develop new applications for ODB product lines.
Essential Functions of the Job:

Directs and motivates dealer sales force. Recommends sales territories to Director of Sales & Marketing, provides training and guidance using management skills and advises sales force with recommended course of action. Expands leaf and debris market for Alamo Group and year-round debris cleanup.

Spearheads technical, applications, and sales strategies trainings

Consults with Director of Sales & Marketing for problem resolution and to determine product availability and troubleshooting of equipment.

Forecasts sales of units, both long and short term, using planning skills and product knowledge.

Conducts dealer sales force's performance evaluations, provides feedback, and assists in development.

Trains new dealers in product knowledge, current programs, and company/departmental goals and objectives. Provides on-going training for current dealer sales force.

Prepares sales reports indicating volume, margins, and competitive comparisons.

Shares customer feedback, suggests design improvements, and assists with marketing materials and brochures

Advises dealers of established territories, quotas, and goals. Coordinates information with sales force.

Attends trade shows and dealer expos. Demonstrates and promotes products.

Plans and directs quarterly territory dealer sales meetings.

Develops territory budget and plans expenditures. Ensures compliance of budget guidelines. Conducts at least one hundred demonstrations per year on equipment.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.

Minimum 4 years’ previous sales experience, preferably in an industrial market, with increasing areas/levels of responsibility
Working Conditions:
Frequent sitting for extended periods of time; standard office environment. Standing, walking and some lifting while traveling and attending trade shows and demonstrations
