Business Analyst

Description We are looking for a Contract Business Analyst to support accounting and business operations for an IT Software organization in Torrance, California. This position is ideal for someone who is detail oriented and has strong NetSuite expertise, and who can guide end users, strengthen reporting practices, and improve day-to-day financial processes. The role combines business analysis with hands-on accounting knowledge, requiring close collaboration with stakeholders to identify operational gaps and turn system capabilities into practical solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with accounting and business teams to evaluate workflows, identify process inefficiencies, and recommend effective solutions using NetSuite.

• Deliver hands-on training to accounting staff on NetSuite functionality, reporting tools, and best practices for daily system use.

• Create, refine, and maintain reports, dashboards, and saved searches to support financial visibility and operational decision-making.

• Analyze current procedures and document business requirements, process flows, and functional recommendations for stakeholders.

• Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger activity, and reconciliation-related tasks by aligning business needs with system capabilities.

• Review financial records and transactions, including journal entry support and balance sheet reconciliation activities, to help maintain accurate reporting.

• Collaborate within Agile environments to track priorities, clarify requirements, and contribute to iterative process improvements.

• Conduct gap analysis across accounting operations and customer service-related workflows to help optimize efficiency and reporting outcomes. Requirements • 3+ years of experience in business analysis, accounting support, or a related functional role.

• Strong hands-on experience with NetSuite, including reporting, saved searches, and user support.

• Knowledge of core accounting processes such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and account reconciliation.

• Familiarity with journal entries and balance sheet reconciliation practices in a business or finance environment.

• Ability to gather requirements, review documentation, and translate business needs into actionable recommendations.

• Experience working in Agile or Scrum-based teams and managing work in a collaborative setting.

• Understanding of NetSuite-related tools or modules such as CRM, Advanced Revenue Management, or Oracle NetSuite technologies is preferred.
