Job Summary
The School of Construction and Design at The University of Southern Mississippi invites applications for a full-time, 9-month, non-tenure-track faculty position in Architectural Engineering Technology at the Instructor level, with a target start date of August 2027. This is an on-site position based on the Hattiesburg campus, with primary responsibilities involving face-to-face instruction and in-person engagement with students, faculty, and the School community.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Teach a full load of undergraduate courses each semester (studio and lecture).

Utilize effective teaching methods to ensure that all course outcomes are met.

Support the Architectural Engineering Technology program including new course development and curriculum improvement.

Maintain regular office hours.

Fulfill institutional service duties within the School, College, University, and community.

Engage in student-related activities such as supervising student projects, advising student organizations, and coaching student teams for competitions.

Provide end of the semester course assessment data.

Build and maintain strong relationships with industry partners.

Perform other duties as assigned.
