Job Description:
Utilizes advanced health assessment, knowledge, and decision making skills, works independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals. Provides health care to individuals and families, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention. They may care for patients ranging in age from newborn to elderly as noted in age-related category and area of expertise.

Essentia Health - Marilyn Covey Heart & Vascular Center in Brainerd, MN is seeking a Cardiology Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) to provide comprehensive cardiovascular care across the continuum, including ambulatory cardiology, acute care cardiology, Heart Failure, and pre- and post-invasive cardiovascular care.
This is a diverse practice opportunity for an APP who values clinical variety, collaborative care, and caring for patients across multiple cardiovascular settings.
Clinical Practice

Ambulatory Cardiology: Evaluate and manage new and established cardiology patients; manage cardiovascular conditions, risk factors, medications, and diagnostic testing; provide longitudinal follow-up, education, and care coordination.

Acute Care Cardiology: Evaluate and manage hospitalized patients with acute cardiovascular conditions. Collaborate with cardiologists and the multidisciplinary hospital care team.

Heart Failure: Evaluate and manage patients with new and established heart failure; optimize guideline-directed medical therapy; monitor treatment response; provide timely post-discharge follow-up and multidisciplinary care coordination.

Pre- and Post-Invasive Cardiovascular Care: In collaboration with the interventional cardiologists perform pre-procedure assessments and coordinate testing; provide patient education and post-procedure evaluation.
Ideal Candidate
NP or PA with cardiology, cardiovascular, acute care, or related clinical experience preferred. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong clinical judgment, excellent communication and collaboration skills, and an interest in comprehensive cardiovascular care across inpatient and outpatient settings.

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:
NP:
Current licensure as a registered nurse in appropriate state.
Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in appropriate state.
Current certification in CPR.
National certification in applicable area.
Successful completion of Essentia Health credentialing process prior to practice
PA:
Current licensure as a physician assistant in appropriate state.
Current certification in CPR.
National certification.
Successful completion of Essentia Health credentialing process prior to practice
