Full job description

We have an outstanding Contract to Hire position for anElectrical Assemblerto join a leading Company located in theHouston, TXsurrounding area.

Responsible for performing standard assembly processes, reworks, and repairs on manufactured equipment and products.

Responsibilities :

  • Work under moderate to limited supervision, perform a variety of assembly operations associated with the manufacturing of products, small mechanical or electro-mechanical parts, or equipment housing, or large equipment such as engines, engine and PTO drive trains, transmissions, diesel and natural gas generators, control equipment, covers/cowlings, related connecting lines, etc.

  • Assembly process may include fitting, mounting, alignment, adjusting , and operational testing and other duties.

  • Promotes and contributes to safety awareness.

  • Promotes and takes an active part in quality and continuous improvement processes.

  • Performs preventive maintenance, inspects production equipment, and performs minor repairs.

Basic Hiring Criteria :

  • High school diploma or equivalent and two to ten years related experience.

  • Minimum 3 years of heavy equipment assembly .

  • Must be proficient in basic hand and power tools.

  • Proficient understanding of calibration tools ( Torque Wrench ).

  • Employees must be able to read blueprints and drawings as well as be knowledgeable in the use of precision measuring instruments.

  • Tasks include performing manufacturing math calculations and use of specialized lifting equipment.

  • Basic knowledge of fluid power schematics and associated symbols.

  • Good understanding of UEM quality policy and standards

  • General understanding of MS computer programs (Word, Email, PDM).

  • Good standing with company policies.
