Position Summary
The Field Technology Support Specialist serves as a critical bridge between IT and field operations, driving adoption of enterprise systems (e.g., IFS Cloud) across operations and supply chain teams. This role is responsible for hands-on training, on-site user support, and ensuring employees fully leverage system capabilities to improve operational efficiency, data quality, and business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
System Adoption & Enablement
-
Drive adoption of new system functionality across Operations and Supply Chain teams
-
Partner with business stakeholders to understand workflows and align system usage to operational needs
-
Identify adoption gaps and develop targeted strategies to improve system utilization
-
Act as the “voice of the user” to IT and product teams for continuous improvement
Training & Knowledge Transfer

Design and deliver role-based training programs (in-person and virtual)
-
Conduct onboarding training for new hires and refresher training for existing employees
-
Develop training materials, job aids, and quick reference guides
-
Translate technical system functionality into clear, practical business processes
On-Site & Field Support
-
Provide hands-on, on-site system support at field locations and operational hubs
-
Troubleshoot user issues related to system transactions, workflows, and data entry
-
Support critical business processes (e.g., work orders, inventory, service contracts, invoicing)
-
Serve as an escalation point for system-related operational issues
Process Improvement & Optimization
-
Identify inefficiencies in current processes and recommend system-driven improvements
-
Collaborate with IT and business teams on enhancements and new functionality rollout
-
Participate in system testing and validation for new features and releases
-
Support change management activities associated with system updates
Data Quality & Compliance
-
Promote best practices for data entry and system usage
-
Monitor and address data integrity issues within operational processes
-
Ensure compliance with company policies and system governance standards
Qualifications
Education & Experience
-
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Supply Chain, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
-
1 – 3+ years of experience in operations, supply chain, or enterprise system support
-
Experience with ERP systems (IFS Cloud preferred)
Skills & Competencies

Strong understanding of operations and supply chain workflows
-
Ability to translate technical functionality into practical, user-friendly guidance
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across all levels of the organization
-
Proven ability to train and influence users in a field-based environment
-
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
-
Self-starter with ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Other Requirements
-
Willingness to travel to field locations (as needed) – 50% of time.
