The Manufacturing Engineer supports the development, optimization, and documentation of manufacturing processes, working cross-functionally to introduce new products, improve productivity, reduce costs, and ensure effective coordination of production operations. This role performs methods and operational analyses, develops process flows and work instructions, evaluates engineering changes, and provides technical support across engineering, quality, procurement, and production functions.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Coordinate with design engineering on new product releases, reviewing drawings for producibility and ensuring manufacturing readiness prior to release (30%).

Perform operational, labor, and methods analyses to support time standards, workflow optimization, equipment planning, and productivity improvement initiatives (25%).
-
Evaluate engineering changes and specification updates, serving as a technical liaison across program management, finance, design, quality, procurement, inspection, and production teams (20%).
-
Develop and maintain manufacturing process flows, work instructions, and standard procedures that define specific manufacturing steps and ensure consistent execution (15%).

Support cost estimation, tooling recommendations, and process requirements for new or existing product lines while maintaining records and reporting systems to coordinate manufacturing operations (10%).
Representative Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field
-
4–6+ years of manufacturing or industrial engineering experience with growing technical responsibility

Experience supporting new product introduction, producibility reviews, and cross-functional design coordination
-
Working knowledge of labor time standards, workflow analysis, and manufacturing cost drivers
-
Ability to develop process flow documentation, work instructions, and standard manufacturing procedures
-
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and process accuracy
-
Effective communication skills for working across engineering, production, quality, and supply chain teams
-
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production or engineering environment
-
Commitment to continuous improvement and supporting collaborative manufacturing operations
