Urgent Care – Hamilton, MT - Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) opportunity in beautiful Montana!

B itterroot Health is seeking candidates to fill an Urgent Care– Advanced Practice Provider (APP) position. This Clinician will provide high quality care to patients of all ages in our outpatient clinics. For the Urgent Care role, they will be responsible for both the diagnosis and treatment of acute conditions. They will be responsible for coordination of care between patients and either the Emergency Department or each patient’s Primary Care Provider. They will recommend appropriate evidence-based treatment.

The role may also entail occasional cross-coverage in Primary Care, where they will be responsible for diagnosing and treating acute conditions, chronic disease management, and preventative care for their patient panel. They will recommend appropriate evidence-based treatment. Additional responsibilities will include medication prescription and management, health care plan creation, preventative wellness coaching to promote physical, emotional, and mental health to enable healthier lives.

  • The workload is roughly 40 hrs/wk on average. It would include a mixture of 3- and 4- day work weeks (varying between 9- or 11-hour shifts). Typically, a Full-time Urgent Care Provider is contracted to work 165 shifts/year. Weekends and Holiday coverage are rotated.

Qualifications, Education, Training and Experience:

  • Required - Advanced Practice Provider (PA or NP) degree with current Montana license

  • Preferred - Experience in Urgent Care or Primary Care

  • Preferred - Experience with medical ethics, population health, and/or quality improvement methodology
