SUNY Delhi seeks a dynamic, forward-thinking, and engaging faculty member to join the School of Applied Technologies starting in January for the Spring 2027 semester.

Applications are being accepted for a full-time, 10-month, tenure-track faculty member in the School of Applied Technologies and Architecture (https://www.delhi.edu/academics/schools/school-of-applied-technologies-and-architecture.php) , teaching Refrigeration and Air Conditioning courses. The successful candidate will have a good working knowledge of both domestic and commercial refrigeration and air conditioning systems. This should include a strong knowledge of electrical systems and controls used throughout the industry.

Faculty members in our HVAC program are responsible for the following:

Program Development

  • Participate in annual systematic assessment of the program

  • Participate in analyzing data and recommending curriculum and programmatic revisions where necessary

Teaching Responsibilities

  • Provide evidence-based instruction following the policies set forth by the College

  • Provide hands-on, lab-based instruction on various construction methods, including job site safety and safe operation of tools and equipment

  • Post and keep regular office hours for the convenience of students

  • Participate in the assessment of course, student learning, and program outcomes

  • Incorporate student service-learning opportunities

Advisement

  • Assist in advisement of students

  • Guide and counsel students toward personal and career development

  • Track student's completion of progression requirements

Academic & Organization Commitment

  • Serve on campus committees

  • Mentoring Adjunct Faculty

  • Participate in full and part-time faculty meetings

  • Participate in accreditation reviews and reports

  • Engage in the academic and organizational life of the college

  • Pursue scholarly interests

Job Requirements:

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in a related field and 3 years of professional experience in a related field

  • OR High School Diploma and 10 years in a related field (would require the applicant to attain an Associate Degree within 6 years)

  • EPA 608 Certification

  • NYS Driver's license with an acceptable driving record

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field with three years of professional experience in a related field

  • Seven or more years of professional experience in a related field

  • Experience in teaching or working with young adults

  • Demonstrated ability to teach diverse populations

  • Understanding the value of civic engagement

  • Salary: $50,906

  • This is a 10-month academic year, tenure track position
