Rate: $45 USD per hour

PER DIEM PHYSICAL THERAPIST – SCHOOL AGE PROGRAM!

Per Diem, Hourly $45 – $55/hour

Shifts Available:

School Age Program operates on a Monday – Friday, 8 am – 3 pm schedule. Must be available to work within those days and hours.

The Role: Physical Therapist’s in the School Age Program are creative, energetic, career-oriented professionals who are motivated to educate individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in an ungraded self-contained classroom. What You Bring to Brightway Living & Learning:

  • Physical Therapy license in New York State with current registration

  • Minimum of bachelor's degree in physical therapy from accredited university or college

  • Experience treating children with disabilities preferred

What You'll Do:

  • Provide physical therapy according to the mandated paperwork (IEP, IFSP, etc.).

  • Provide required documentation for services that your program or supervisor has outlined for you.

  • Complete required documentation for services as outlined by federal, state, and county regulations.

  • Maintain documentation in a professional, efficient, accountable, and confidential manner.

  • Attend and pass all required training during the initial training period as well as on-going recertifications.

  • Be familiar with and perform job duties in accordance with all agency and program policies and procedures.

What You Must Be Able to Do:

  • Modify the area to secure the safety of the children i.e. move/push tables and other heavy objects up to 20 lbs.

  • Lift/move 20 lbs. (mats)

  • Run after a student up to 500 feet

  • Run to a classroom in need up to 500 feet.

  • Kneel, twist and bend

  • Respond to fire alarms
