Full job description
Description
Amazon Leo is building a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites to deliver fast, low-latency broadband to unserved and underserved communities worldwide. Getting those satellites to orbit depends on secure operations at partner-operated launch, test and processing facilities around the world.
Amazon Corporate Security (ACS) is hiring a Non-Traditional Environments (NTE) Security Manager to lead physical security delivery for Amazon Leo’s operations at third-party and non-traditional Leo locations in the US and abroad. These include test labs, payload processing facilities, secure storage sites and temporary operating locations where Amazon must work within host organization constraints to deliver security. We're looking for a leader who lives Amazon's Leadership Principles, especially Customer Obsession, Ownership, Earn Trust and Bias for Action.
Reporting to the Amazon Leo Physical Security Sr. Manager, you'll own the delivery of ACS security services at sites that Amazon doesn't control. Your services protect Leo people, satellites, hardware, infrastructure, and intellectual property (IP) through influence, partnership and well-run vendor management. You'll work closely with the facility operator, the launch provider, local authorities and guard vendors. Inside Amazon, you'll work with Leo IP and Infrastructure Security, Trade & Compliance, Legal, Logistics and Leo mission teams. The environment is ambiguous and changes fast. Schedules move, requirements change, and you'll often be the most senior Amazon security leader on site.
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be U.S. citizens to comply with U.S. government-imposed requirements related to the nature of the work and/or where it will be performed.
