Location: Burns Harbor, IN

As an intern/co-op with Cleveland-Cliffs, you will build life-long professional connections and have the opportunity to be considered for future full-time employment.
As an Environmental Engineering Intern at Cleveland-Cliffs, you will take a hands-on approach to help promote environmental excellence within the organization by supporting company programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. The projects in which an intern will participate will vary, depending on education level and plant, but will model the duties below to the extent possible.
Summary of Responsibilities:

Assist with environmental data acquisition, management, and reporting processes supporting adherence to Clean Water Act, Clean Air Act and Resource Conservation & Recovery Act requirements

Assist with special projects and environmental investigations supporting environmental compliance with applicable permits and rules

Assist with other environmental programs such as energy efficiency, waste minimization, GHG emissions reduction, and ISO 14001 Environmental Management System

Various other tasks as needed
Minimum Qualifications:

Enrollment in Bachelor of Science program in the field of Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, or other related technical degree

Completion of at least sophomore year of study by the summer of 2027
