Registered Nurse, Pediatrics

Location: Camp Lejeune, North Carolina

Schedule: Full-Time | Variable Shifts

Professional Performance Development Group (PPDG) is seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse, Pediatrics to provide high-quality nursing care in support of patients at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.

The Pediatrics RN will perform patient assessments, triage, care planning, treatments, patient education, and clinical documentation while working collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals.

Minimum Qualifications

• Degree: Associate Degree in Nursing

• Education: Graduate of a nursing program accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE)

• Graduates of a State Board of Nursing-approved or otherwise accredited nursing program may also be considered

• Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

• Experience: At least one year of full-time clinical experience as a Registered Nurse within the previous two years

• Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform a full range of Registered Nurse duties, including triage, patient assessment, monitoring, treatment, and use of patient care equipment

• Carry out physician orders in accordance with established nursing standards and scope of practice

• Develop and implement goal-directed plans of care based on nursing diagnoses, patient needs, and expected outcomes

• Continuously assess patients’ physiological, psychological, and cognitive status

• Monitor patient progress and evaluate the effectiveness of nursing care

• Accurately document patient care, treatments, observations, and outcomes

• Provide treatment, discharge instructions, patient education, and emotional support

• Identify patient and caregiver learning needs and implement appropriate education

• Maintain a safe, clean, properly stocked, and adequately equipped patient care environment

• Provide clinical direction and instruction to LPNs/LVNs, nursing assistants, and ancillary personnel

• Deliver professional nursing care in a knowledgeable, consistent, skillful, and compassionate manner
