In this role, you'll evaluate and treat hospitalized patients recovering from illness, injury, surgery, or functional decline. Working closely with physicians, nurses, case managers, and rehabilitation professionals, you'll help patients improve mobility, restore function, and safely transition to the next level of care. ## Key Responsibilities ### Clinical Care - Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations for hospitalized patients - Assess mobility, balance, strength, endurance, and functional limitations - Develop and implement individualized treatment plans - Provide evidence-based, one-on-one patient care - Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as appropriate - Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, case managers, and rehabilitation team members - Educate patients and families on mobility strategies, home exercise programs, and discharge recommendations - Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and patient care planning - Support department initiatives and quality improvement efforts - Provide coverage across rehabilitation service locations as needed ### Documentation & Quality - Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic health record - Document evaluations, treatments, patient response, and outcomes - Ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational standards - Communicate workflow or documentation concerns appropriately - Participate in department meetings and quality improvement activities ### Leadership & Mentorship - Supervise PTAs, rehabilitation support staff, students, and volunteers as assigned - Support student education and clinical learning experiences - Promote a collaborative environment focused on clinical excellence and continuous improvement ## Qualifications ### Required - Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program - Current Michigan Physical Therapist license in good standing - BLS certification within three months of hire - Strong communication, interpersonal, and patient education skills - Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary healthcare team - Proficiency with electronic medical records and computer applications ## Why Bronson Rehabilitation Services?
