  • Support accurate financial classification and coding of project activities.

  • Document recommendations and maintain supporting information for financial and compliance purposes.

  • Apply internal capitalization policies consistently across project requests.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Partner with IT teams, Finance, project managers, and other stakeholders throughout the intake process.

  • Communicate findings, questions, and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Work collaboratively to resolve incomplete information or project classification questions.

Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure project requests comply with internal capital software policies, financial requirements, and governance processes.

  • Maintain accurate project records and documentation for reporting and audit purposes.

  • Support consistent application of intake and financial classification standards.

Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve and streamline project intake and classification workflows.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across the Project Intake team.

  • Leverage tools such as JIRA, SharePoint, Microsoft Copilot, and other automation technologies to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience.

  • Typically 3–5+ years of relevant experience in project coordination, project intake, PMO support, IT governance, business analysis, finance operations, or a similar function.

  • Experience supporting software, hardware, or IT-related projects.

  • Understanding of Capital vs. O&M / CapEx vs. OpEx principles and financial governance.

  • Experience with project financial tracking, capital project budgeting, fixed assets, or capital project management is preferred.

  • Proficiency with JIRA and SharePoint.

  • Knowledge of the IT project lifecycle and software implementation practices.

Preferred Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong time-management and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned responsibilities.

  • Collaborative approach with experience working across cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to exercise sound judgment when working through complex project or financial classification issues.

  • Familiarity with AI and automation tools, including Microsoft Copilot, is a plus.

Work Environment This team offers a supportive and collaborative environment where knowledge sharing, problem-solving, and continuous improvement are encouraged.
