Job Summary:
As an Operations Specialist, you will be expected to meet the following duties.

Build productive working relationships with facility, programming, and operational personnel.
-
Coordinate project activities, schedules, deliverables, and action tracking across multiple organizations.
-
Participate in facility and area walkdowns to understand operating conditions and identify ready-made needs.
-
Support assessments and help evaluate whether operational requirements have been effectively implemented.
-
Serve as a central coordination point for facility and programmatic customers.
-
Gather information from subject-matter experts and convert operational needs into practical plans, communications, procedures, and other controlled documents.

Research and apply effective practices in operational readiness, process improvement, and procedure development.
-
Help ensure work products meet applicable DOE and LANL requirements.

Communicate WFO activities and needs through written, verbal, and visual media projects under dynamic conditions .
Minimum Job Requirements:
-
Demonstrated experience supporting work in an operational, technical, regulated, or compliance-driven environment.
-
intermediate-level knowledge and experience in coordinating activities, schedules, assessments, or action tracking across multiple stakeholders.
-
intermediate-level knowledge and experience in participating in or supporting facility walkdowns, workplace observations, assessments, or similar field-based activities.
-
Intermediate-level knowledge and experience to understand and apply organizational policies, procedures, and institutional requirements.
-
Demonstrated interpersonal and customer-service skills, including the ability to build productive working relationships across different organizations and levels of responsibility.
-
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain complex information clearly to different audiences.
-
Demonstrated ability to analyze technical or operational information and convert it into clear, accurate, and usable work products.
-
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Education/Experience : Bachelor’s degree and a minimum five years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Desired Qualifications:
-
Demonstrated ability to learn and implement DOE Orders and LANL Procedures pertinent to nuclear facility operations

Technical writing experience is a big plus
-
Demonstrated ability to understand and implement DOE orders.

Intermediate or higher level knowledge of LANL systems (Utrain, Oracle, etc.) and Technical Writing. Or ability to collaborate effectively

DOE Q Clearance or ability to get a Q clearance
