SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Responsible for providing day-to-day leadership and supervision of the section including the technical, financial, and human resource operations. Also responsible for maintaining regulatory compliance and serving as a liaison to laboratory administration, other hospital services, patients and clients.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

  • Successful completion of an accredited Histotechnology program and

  • Associate degree in chemical, biological, clinical or medical laboratory science or equivalent education with five (5) years of clinical work experience in an accredited Histology Laboratory.

OR

  • Bachelor's degree in a chemical, biological, clinical or medical laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institution with four (4) years clinical work experience in accredited Histology Laboratory.

  • Candidate must maintain HT/HTL/QIHC (ASCP) or equivalent certification.
