Mindoula Health improves the quality of life for patients with behavioral health and chronic medical conditions by embedding behavioral health into primary care—ensuring coordinated, effective care without barriers.

The Senior Behavioral Health Integration Clinician (BHIC) & Clinical Excellence Lead is a dual-function clinical leadership role supporting the Collaborative Care team, including the patient's medical provider, behavioral health clinicians, psychiatric consultant, and enrollment specialist.

This is a working leadership role in which the clinician remains actively engaged in patient care while guiding team performance and clinical excellence. The role is responsible for supporting the collaborative care team in delivering high-quality care, ensuring patient access and engagement, and achieving clinical outcomes.

This role is approximately 50% direct patient care and 50% clinical leadership and program oversight. The position ensures high-quality care delivery, clinical excellence, and achievement of program outcomes while maintaining active clinical engagement within the Collaborative Care model.

Duties and Responsibilities

Clinical Leadership & Supervision

  • Oversees the delivery of Collaborative Care services, including behavioral health, care coordination, care planning, and clinical outcomes.

  • Provides clinical supervision in accordance with Oregon licensing and regulatory requirements, serving as a Qualified Supervisor for associate-level clinicians.

  • Evaluates clinician performance, supports hiring and onboarding, and ensures training, model fidelity, and compliance with program and regulatory requirements.

  • Ensures staff maintain competencies in evidence-based treatment modalities and proper use of the clinical EHR.

  • Oversees clinical performance, outcomes, and reporting requirements, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

  • Provides clinical oversight of care delivered by behavioral health clinicians and the collaborative care team.

  • Contributes to the development and implementation of clinical policies, procedures, and documentation standards.

  • Supports the design, development, and implementation of new clinical programs and initiatives.

  • Ensures programs meet contractual, productivity, and revenue expectations.

  • Mentors, develops, and retains associate-level clinicians, ensuring appropriate supervision, documentation, and professional growth.

Direct Clinical Care (BHIC Responsibilities)

  • Conducts behavioral health and substance use screenings and assessments.

  • Participates in interdisciplinary care planning and weekly psychiatric case consultation.

  • Tracks patient progress using validated outcome measures and adjusts care plans as appropriate.

  • Supports medication adherence monitoring and coordination with primary care providers.

  • Documents clinical services in the EHR in accordance with Collaborative Care workflows and compliance standards.

  • Performance & Accountability

  • Performance is evaluated based on both individual clinical outcomes and team-level quality, access, supervision, and compliance metrics aligned with the Collaborative Care model.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Rehabilitation, or related field

  • Oregon independent licensure required: LPC or LMFT

  • Qualified Supervisor status in Oregon, with appropriate certification to provide clinical supervision

  • 5+ years of experience in behavioral health intervention, case management, or care coordination

  • Experience working with populations with chronic medical and behavioral health conditions

  • Experience with EHR systems and telehealth workflows

  • Proficiency with technology and multiple software applications

  • Must be located in or near Eugene, Oregon (hybrid work environment)

Schedule

  • Hybrid: 2-3 days in clinics in either Eugene, OR or Corvallis, OR

  • Exempt, Full-time. Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
