Equitable is seeking an experienced Mutual Funds Internal Wholesaler to join our team! This role is dedicated to the distribution of Equitable Investment Management Model Portfolios and the 1290 Funds family of retail mutual funds issued by Equitable to professional financial intermediaries such as broker-dealers, banks, independent financial planners, and Equitable Advisors, the company's retail distribution organization. The sales team is responsible for cultivating new relationships with firms and financial advisors, while maintaining our relationships with existing partners.

This position offers a hybrid work schedule , with an on–site presence 3 days per week in our Charlotte, NC office , combining flexibility with team collaboration.

What You’ll Be Doing

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales opportunities by initiating and following up on sales conversations, sharing strategic sales ideas, responding to product inquiries, preparing proposals and illustrations, and supporting new product launches.

  • Deliver a high-quality client experience by coordinating meeting coverage, preparing for due diligence discussions, developing wholesaler communications and training, and providing sales analysis and insights.

  • Partner closely with sales teams to drive growth within the assigned region while building and strengthening relationships with key intermediaries.

  • Understand client and intermediary needs and coordinate resources across the organization to provide responsive, solutions-focused support.

  • Build and leverage strategic relationships with investment providers, financial professionals, and clients to strengthen engagement and uncover new business opportunities.

  • Communicate investment perspectives effectively, helping articulate key messages related to portfolio strategy, market developments, and evolving investment opportunities.

The base salary for this position is $60,000 . This role is eligible for variable compensation.

What You Will Bring

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree, or equivalent professional work experience

  • 1 years of experience within capital markets, financial services, or a related industry with a introductory understanding of investment products, financial markets, and industry practices.

  • FINRA Series 6 and 63 registrations, active upon hire

  • FINRA Series 7 registration active upon hire, or ability to obtain within 180 days of hire

  • Prior account management experience or sales experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the investment industry, with the ability to identify and capitalize on business opportunities both within and beyond established markets

  • Self-motivated, positive, and collaborative team player with effective communication skills and the ability to build lasting relationships with internal and external partners

  • Understanding of the distinct needs of proprietary sales teams, external broker-dealers, and financial advisors

  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and effectively both verbally and in writing

Skills

Client Relationship Management: Knowledge of client relationship; ability to address issues critical issues to meet client needs and maintain engaged, partnering relationship with business partners and clients.

Effective Presentations: Knowledge of effective presentation tools and techniques; ability to present information to groups with the appropriate degree of formality.

Knowledge of Sales Channels: Knowledge of meanings and features of sales channels; ability to coordinate multiple and diverse options for selling an organization's products and services.

Managing Multiple Priorities: Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.

Strategic Sales Planning: Knowledge of sales principles, processes, techniques and tools; ability to develop sales plans that are future-oriented, support business strategy and reflect understanding of emerging, as well as existing, opportunities and markets.
