Description We are looking for a Cloud Engineer to help build and support secure, scalable cloud infrastructure for a financial services environment in McAllen, Texas. This role focuses on strengthening Azure and hybrid platform capabilities, improving reliability, and advancing governance across cloud services and data platforms. The ideal candidate brings hands-on engineering experience, sound judgment around security and compliance, and the ability to work across technical teams to deliver durable solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Architect, deploy, and administer cloud infrastructure across Microsoft Azure and hybrid environments to support performance, availability, and long-term scalability.

  • Assess emerging cloud tools and platform capabilities, then recommend practical solutions that improve efficiency, resiliency, and security.

  • Apply and manage cloud security measures such as access controls, encryption standards, and network isolation to protect critical systems and data.

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to maintain alignment with regulatory expectations, audit requirements, and organizational security policies affecting cloud services.

  • Investigate platform incidents and service disruptions, identify root causes, and restore operations in a timely manner.

  • Contribute to on-call coverage and respond to urgent production issues or escalations outside standard business hours when needed.

  • Establish governance practices for cloud environments, including authentication approaches, monitoring standards, lifecycle oversight, and control frameworks.

  • Design integrations and platform components using consistent, reusable, and maintainable architectural patterns.

  • Define standards for data organization, metadata, lineage, quality, and governance to support trusted enterprise data use.

  • Help shape cloud architecture to enable future capabilities such as Microsoft Fabric, Azure AI services, Copilot-related tools, and advanced analytics initiatives. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

  • At least 3 years of experience supporting cloud platforms, hybrid infrastructure, data environments, or enterprise integrations.

  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services and related technologies such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Microsoft Fabric, analytics platforms, or reporting tools.

  • Knowledge of cloud governance models, architectural standards, and review processes used in enterprise environments.

  • Understanding of integration design concepts, including API-led solutions, microservices, reusable middleware patterns, and event-driven architecture.

  • Familiarity with cloud and infrastructure technologies such as AWS services, Amazon EC2, Auto Scaling, Ansible, Windows Server, or similar enterprise platforms.

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and organizational skills with the ability to communicate technical risk and remediation clearly.

  • Prior experience in banking or financial services is preferred. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
