$75,000 - $95,000 annually (based on experience)

J o b purpose

E n s ure production requirements are met and the work environment is stable, safe, and healthy. The role of site supervisor is to manage staff, minimize wasted capacity and overtime, manage onsite equipment and meet production goals.

D uties an d responsibilities

  • S upervises Onsite Drivers. Running a safe, injury/accident free, equipment damage free workplace, (OSHA co m p l i a n t)

  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures.

  • E n force correct procedures for loading, unloading, and tipping.

  • Manage staff levels and weekly hours to minimize overtime and capacity.

  • Monitor, evaluate, coach, and document employee performance; provide corrective action and performance feedback in partnership with the Terminal Manager / Dispatcher.

  • Daily equipment tracking of units onsite; ensure DVIR compliance from drivers

  • Submit daily yard checks to dispatch, terminal management and maintenance personnel

  • Work alongside crews during freight operations as a working supervisor

  • Inspect OTR trucks for cleanliness and organization and report findings to Terminal Manager / Dispatcher.

  • Coordinate with maintenance personnel and external repair vendors to transport, track, and retrieve equipment requiring service

  • K n o w le dgeable and supports Safety throughout worksite collaboratively with Safety Director and/or Safety Team.

  • Ensure employees adherence to PPE, FMCSA, DOT, customer and safety requirements.

  • Determines need and schedules Training for all On-Site Employees

  • Per forms FMCSA required Pre- & Post Trip Inspections, and audits equipment onsite

  • S a fely refuels vehicle, as necessary.

  • Maintain truck, yard, and office cleanliness and organization.

  • Maintain availability for operational communications with management and crew members outside normal work hours when business needs

Site Specific Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary communication link between customer plants, dispatch/terminal managers, and drivers.

  • Communicate plant outages, breakdowns, delays and other service-impacting issues.

  • Maintain and manage sufficient inventory to support customer operations.

  • Conduct and document yard inspections at least twice daily.

Qualifications

Q uali f i c a tions

  • H i g h School Diploma required.

  • V a l i d Class A CDL

  • Pr o fi c i e n c y at driving, maneuvering, and positioning CMV in various loading, unloading, and parking scenarios.

  • S uccessful completion of FMCSA physical requirements for CMV drivers

  • S uccessful completion of pre-employment background check and drug testing; understanding and adherence to the

FMCSA drug and alcohol testing requirements.

  • 3 years Equipment Operator Experience

  • A b i l it y to learn/utilize software where necessary.

  • Written and spoken communication skills.

  • Pr o b l e m-solving and troubleshooting skills.

  • C on fidence to thrive under pressure, strong leadership skills.

  • Pr o fessional demeanor and attitude.

  • Ability t o lift, push, pull, up to 75lbs.

  • S a fety equipment required, e.g., steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses/goggles, etc.

  • H a z a r ds associated with trade.

  • Work both indoors and outdoors.

  • A b i l it y to work within varying weather conditions (cold/heat).
