Overview

This position is Hybrid: 2 days on-site, 3 days remote, with flexibility to vary.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, Day Shift

Purpose Statement/Position Summary: The Psychotherapist, under the supervision of a licensed clinician, provides psychotherapeutic services for a caseload of patients with acutely complex needs. Responsible for assessment, treatment planning and psychotherapy provision to a defined caseload of patients and may also support the facilitation of groups. Employs evidence-based psychological treatment interventions and provides case management services as needed. Services are primarily clinic-based, but some field work is expected, depending on the needs of each individual case. This position works with other team members to support access to overall services and requires registration with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.

Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience:

Required:

  • 1+ years of clinical experience with children, adolescents, young adults, and/or their families/caregivers.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Valid CA Driver’s License and proof of insurance required for positions requiring field-based services.

Preferred:

  • Experience in health care setting.

  • Experience working in health care settings and with children, adolescents, and families.

  • Bilingual in English/Spanish.

  • Training in Infant and Early Childhood mental health.

  • Experience with Department of Mental Health documentation and program.

Education/Licensure/Certifications: Master’s Degree in Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, or Psychology with previous experience in a child, adolescent, or family mental health setting. American Heart Association BLS certification required. Registration with California Board of Behavioral Sciences as an Associate Clinical Social Worker (ASW) or as an Associate MFT (AMFT) is required.

Pay Scale Information

USD $72,862.40 - USD $97,136.00

Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates who meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates who exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
