Part-Time Instructional Support Technician - Medical Laboratory Science

The Medical Laboratory Science department is currently seeking a part-time Instructional Support Technician to assist in the student laboratories. Responsibilities will include:

• Setting up laboratory equipment and materials prior to a laboratory session.

• Preparing reagents and cultures.

• Performing quality control.

• Cleaning glassware.

• Laundering lab coats.

• Assisting faculty and/or students during structured laboratory sessions and/or open laboratory sessions, and cleaning up after the laboratory session is over.

• Assisting with the maintenance and calibration of laboratory instrumentation and with monitoring chemical inventory.

The position requires knowledge and practice of safety in a medical laboratory setting.

Job Requirements:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• BS in Medical Laboratory Science

• Knowledge of current Medical Laboratory Science practices

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• MLS Certification
