This Grant Specialist position will work primarily with the Registered Teacher Apprenticeship in Special Education initiative of REACH MS, the State Personnel Development Grant. This person will coordinate and support the development of high-quality Special Education Registered Teacher Apprenticeship Programs by providing training, coaching, and technical assistance to educator preparation programs, districts, mentors, and workforce partners across the state of Mississippi.
This is a grant-funded position and continued employment is contingent on grant funding.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for visa sponsorship. The University will not sponsor applicants for work visas (e.g., H-1B).
Job Summary
The Grant Specialist I provides training, coaching, technical assistance, and implementation support for state and federally funded grant initiatives. Working under the direction of the Project Director, this position assists with implementation of project activities by delivering evidence-based professional learning, supporting implementation fidelity, collecting and utilizing data to guide continuous improvement, and collaborating with participating schools, districts, and project partners. The Grant Specialist I supports project implementation, reporting, dissemination, and evaluation activities while ensuring compliance with university, state, and federal grant requirements. The position requires strong organizational skills, effective communication, collaboration with diverse stakeholders, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities while traveling extensively throughout the state.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Delivers evidence-based professional learning, technical assistance, coaching, and consultation to educators and other participants using established implementation frameworks, coaching models, and project procedures.

Supports implementation of state and federally funded grant initiatives by assisting schools, districts, and partner organizations in implementing evidence-based practices with fidelity.

Assists participants with collecting, analyzing, and utilizing implementation, fidelity, and outcome data to support continuous improvement and informed decision-making.

Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with educators, administrators, families, community partners, and other project stakeholders and assists with the planning and coordination of meetings, trainings, conferences, and other project activities.

Collects, organizes, and maintains project documentation, implementation records, participation data, and other required information and assists with preparing reports, presentations, dissemination materials, and grant deliverables.

Completes assigned activities in accordance with project timelines and university, state, federal, and sponsor policies, procedures, and grant requirements and performs other duties as assigned.
