Join Our Team as an Electrical Enginee r and become a member of the US Navy's Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) D5 Life Extension 2 (D5LE2) Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE team.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on the FBM Program, a 63-year-old Program with a long-standing history of Mission Success and of a strong partner can thrive in an exciting fast-paced dynamic environment?

Location: This position does not support teleworking; you will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in: Cape Canaveral FL and be expected to work a flexible 9x80

*Please note we will not provide relocation services for this position.

What does this role look like?

The FBM Program is experiencing significant growth, and we need your expertise to deliver amazing new technologies to our customers while maintaining the technical requirements of the strategic deterrence.

The Electronics Engineer II is an individual contributor on the LE2 – EGSE team supporting the FBM program. You will design and integrate hardware for Automated Test Equipment (ATE). Work is performed under the direction of senior engineers and is focused on delivering hardware deliverables on schedule. This role blends electrical‑hardware design, system integration, and test‑equipment development in a fast‑paced, mission‑oriented environment.

Key activities you will accomplish in this role:

Review and/or Develop schematics, wiring diagrams for hardware modules.

Generate hardware requirements from subsystem‑level specifications.

Produce detailed design documentation (schematics, wiring diagrams, CAD models) using Creo, Zuken, or equivalent.

Execute hardware‑level integration, troubleshooting, and validation of test systems.

Perform data review, trending, and post‑test analysis; support Failure Review Board actions.

To be effective in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in both design and test of electrical hardware

  • 3+ years of professional experience for this role.

  • You will need to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Clearance, thus US Citizenship is required.

Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.

Basic Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship (required for DoD Top‑Secret clearance)

  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in electrical hardware design and test

  • Experience troubleshooting interactions between software and hardware such as network devices and lab instrumentation

Desired Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited college or a related discipline or equivalent experience/combined education.

  • Proficiency with Creo/Windchill, Zuken, Pspice, or comparable tools.

  • Experience with cable design

  • Demonstrated experience with interconnect design, schematic development, system integration and hardware verification.

  • Experience with product‑lifecycle management (Design, Development, Deployment) and issue‑tracking systems.

  • Prior work on EGSE, or communications systems for aerospace/defense.

  • Familiarity with Atlassian Products development processes.

  • Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $85300.00 - $158300.00

  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
