Lightspeed Build Technologies · Full-time · Onsite in Northbrook, IL Position Overview We are moving from proven pilots into our first production runs, and we need one person to make sure our product gets made and gets where it needs to go. As our Production & Delivery Manager, you will run our factory floor across several jobs at once, from materials coming in the door to finished panels going out on a truck. This is a hands-on, on-the-floor leadership role. Factory laborers and temporary crews will report to you, and you will work daily with our engineering team and robotics technician to keep the line running, fix what breaks and turn every project into a repeatable process. Key Responsibilities Production & Crew Leadership

• Plan and run the daily and weekly production schedule across multiple jobs, balancing labor, equipment and materials

• Lead, train and schedule factory laborers and temporary crews, and coordinate with our staffing agencies

• Own floor operations and safety, including material handling, machine moves and crane lifts

• Run quality checks and keep rework low, escalating issues to engineering with a proposed fix

Metrics & Continuous Improvement

• Own a production scoreboard: throughput, schedule attainment, rework hours, downtime, quality issues and safety

• Report results weekly and lead the conversation about what to fix next

• Find bottlenecks, standardize what works into written work instructions, and build cross-training so the line does not depend on one person

• Coordinate preventive maintenance with our robotics technician so it happens between production runs

Materials & Procurement

• Order, receive and track materials against each job's bill of materials, working from the buyout our Preconstruction & Procurement Manager sets up

• Manage inventory and critical spares, and stage materials so production never waits

• Help put a purchase order and receiving process in place for repeat orders

Shipping & Delivery

• Plan outbound loads, loading sequence and near-site storage, and get product to the job site on time

• Coordinate deliveries with site teams and make sure what we ship matches what we promised

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years running production, manufacturing or construction logistics, including 2+ years leading crews or team leads

• Track record of hitting output targets while holding the line on safety and quality

• Experience managing several projects at once, with production scheduling, materials, inventory and inbound/outbound logistics

• Comfortable with data: you set targets, track them and act on them

• Comfortable coordinating temp labor, trucking and equipment vendors

• Thrives in early-stage ambiguity and can build structure while running the work

• Able to work on-site in Northbrook, IL, five days a week

Preferred Qualifications

• Prefab, panelized or modular construction experience

• Hardware, automation or robotics manufacturing experience

• Lean or continuous-improvement training (for example kaizen events or standard work)

• Forklift or crane coordination and rigging awareness; OSHA 30

• Experience launching a new line or facility
