Full job description

At Elevation Church, we want to link arms in ministry with those who are passionate about stepping into their God-given calling. While we're a staff from all different backgrounds and walks of life, our mission is the same - to reach people with the Gospel. We're grounded in scripture and guided by our values, so check out our website (www.elevationchurch.org (http://www.elevationchurch.org)) to be sure you're aligned before you step into the application process with us, particularly paying attention to our Beliefs and our Code.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop Leaders & Volunteer Structures

  • Identify, recruit, develop, and care for volunteer leaders who lead, care for, and equip others — creating a sustainable leadership pipeline for Outreach ministry across your campuses of oversight

  • Build and implement healthy volunteer leadership structures, systems, and cultural expectations that multiply ownership and allow Outreach ministry to grow sustainably

  • Build Outreach Partnerships & Presence

  • Establish and steward strategic relationships with Outreach organizations that create meaningful opportunities for campuses to serve and strengthen their communities

  • Research organizations in areas of potential expansion to help establish connections in new communities

  • Equip campus leaders and volunteers to consistently serve their communities through Outreach events and partnerships at each campus 4–6 times a month

  • Partner With Campus Pastors on Strategy

  • Partner with Campus Pastors to identify community needs, establish Outreach priorities, and develop strategies that mobilize the campus to serve its community

  • Support campuses through Outreach staffing transitions to maintain consistent Outreach impact

  • Lead Crisis Care

  • Connect Outreach partners across communities to create a network of Crisis Care resources and collaborative community projects

  • Build and lead a Crisis Care at each campus that appropriately and effectively supports the benevolence needs at each campus

  • Evaluate & Strengthen the Ministry

  • Evaluate the health and effectiveness of our Outreach ministry using meaningful measurements, identifying trends and opportunities that strengthen participation, leadership development, partnerships, and community impact

  • Proactively identify gaps and challenges within our Outreach ministry, bringing thoughtful solutions and recommendations that move the ministry forward

MUST-HAVES

  • Active participation in a church (we look for a lifestyle of inviting people to church, volunteering, generosity, and prioritizing community)

  • Passion for Outreach ministry

  • High-level networking and relational strength

  • Ability to make sound, critical decisions under pressure

  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-first mindset

  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability

  • Great attention to detail and time-management skills

NICE-TO-HAVES

  • Experience working in a non-profit environment or ministry setting

  • Ministry training or education

DAY-TO-DAY

  • We're a Sunday-Thursday work environment. Monday-Thursday, we're in the office (8:30AM - 5PM); on Sunday, we're supporting the weekend worship experience either directly in our roles or by choosing a weekly serving opportunity at one of our Elevation Church campuses.

  • There's a lot to accomplish each week, so we're pretty fast-paced. We're also not afraid to pivot a strategy or project quickly to meet the needs of the weekend - adaptability is a key competence for us.

  • Yes, we work hard. But we're good at playing hard, too. We're a creative staff, so there's no shortage of activities around our offices to have some fun!

  • You can't help but grow on our staff. You'll be around some incredible people. Professional development opportunities will be all around you, both in structured and unstructured ways.

  • We expect you to be disciplined in your spiritual practices - be in your Bible, spend time with the Lord in prayer, meditate on and apply the weekly sermon.

  • Bring your full self to every project, conversation, and initiative at hand.
