Ready to help us transform healthcare? Bring your true colors to blue.

What We Need:

The Senior Manager will provide high-level strategic, administrative, and operational leadership to ensure the seamless functioning of the Executive Office. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Board Relations & Executive Office Operations, this position serves as the operational anchor for the division, overseeing critical business operations, CEO preparedness, and the strategic design and execution of high-level executive meetings.

The Senior Manager must be a highly organized, independent project manager capable of making high-stakes decisions with minimal direction. Strong candidates will be seasoned leaders who excel at setting multi-phased project plans, navigating systemic ambiguity, and holding senior stakeholders accountable for complex, time-sensitive deliverables. This role requires exceptional business acumen, the ability to synthesize executive content, proven track record of driving cross-functional alignment, and serving as a primary liaison between the Executive Office and the top executives across the company.

For this role, we are seeking candidates local to our Boston, MA office with an in-office expectation of at least 2 days per week.

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Executive Briefings & CEO Readiness: Own and optimize the tracking system for CEO engagements and briefings. Manage the end-to-end briefing process to ensure materials are generated, reviewed for quality, and delivered on-time. Coordinate closely with the Executive Office team to assign responsibilities, pull cross-functional content together, and drive strict internal deadlines.

  • Executive Meeting Facilitation: Support various high-level executive meetings. Manage agenda planning, curate content, develop dashboards, and provide coaching to senior presenters as needed. Act as an exceptional stakeholder manager who understands the business content deeply enough to guide complex discussions, clarify dependencies, and actively push for timely, thoughtful decisions from senior leaders.

  • Division Operations & Strategic Planning: Oversee core division operational functions, including the Division Business Plan, budget, key performance metrics, and Business Continuity Plan. Serve as the primary liaison and strategic point of contact between the Executive Office and other business units, engaging in strategic-level decision-making and cross-functional alignment.

  • Board Governance & Compliance Support: Partner with the Vice President of Board Relations & Executive Office Operations to directly support the Board of Director's Governance Committee, including substantive governance activities, board-related compliance, audit coordination, and the development of high-quality board materials. This work demands an exceptional standard of accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail, given the regulatory significance and organizational sensitivity of board-level operations.

  • Culture, Innovation & Process Improvement: Act as a champion for division culture and continuous improvement. Drive the adoption of AI tools and identify opportunities to increase team effectiveness, streamline processes, and enhance overall operational efficiency within the Executive Office.

  • Special Projects: Act as a flexible, strategic partner across the Executive Office, collaborating closely with other team members. Lead highly complex, ad-hoc special projects and strategic initiatives as directed by the Vice President, with a high degree of versatility and autonomy.

We’re Looking For:

  • Exceptional project management skills, with a track record of working independently, setting complex project timelines, influencing without authority, and holding cross-functional leaders accountable to milestones.

  • Strong ability to evaluate, review, and generate executive-level content and presentations. Superb analytical, writing, copy-editing, and presentation skills, with a strength in translating complex information into concise, executive-level materials.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365, with strong technical computer skills to support dashboards, meeting management, and audio/visual needs.

  • Highly independent and decisive leader who is comfortable managing complex workflows and setting direction without requiring constant oversight in a rapidly shifting environment.

  • Demonstrates absolute composure and emotional intelligence under pressure, treating tight deadlines and executive demands as opportunities for flawless execution.

What You Bring:

  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in executive operations, corporate strategy, or complex program management supporting C-suite executives in a large organization.

  • Possesses the presence, confidence, and diplomatic skill required to effectively interface with, advise, and align the company's top executives and external stakeholders.

  • Process innovation to continually review systems and structures to eliminate waste, introduce productivity-boosting technology (like AI), and elevate team performance.

  • Has a team-oriented approach, willing to step in and support colleagues across the Executive Office to ensure the division's collective success.

  • Experience within the healthcare or health insurance industry is preferred.

  • Flexible hours as dictated by the needs of the business for projects, meetings, and events.

What You’ll Gain:

  • This role places you at the center of the organization — interfacing with the company's top executives. You'll learn how decisions are made at the highest level, understand what moves the business, and become a trusted, recognized presence among the people who shape the company's direction.

  • You'll shape how the CEO shows up in critical moments, advise on positioning and messaging, and quietly drive the kind of behind-the-scenes work that moves the organization forward. For the right person, that's incredibly rewarding.

  • You'll join a close-knit Executive Office team that is fast-moving, deeply collaborative, and genuinely invested in each other's success. No two days — or even two hours — look the same here. If you thrive when priorities shift, ambiguity is the norm, and your team covers for each other without hesitation, you'll feel right at home.
