Join UnityPoint Health as a Home Medical Equipment Supply and Sanitization Technician and help ensure patients receive safe, reliable equipment to support their care. In this role, you will receive, clean, sanitize, test, and store medical equipment while maintaining accurate documentation of all inventory activity. You may also assist with delivering equipment to healthcare facilities and patient homes, playing a key part in ensuring quality, safety, and timely access to essential medical resources.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and accurately process incoming equipment and supply deliveries, ensuring proper documentation and placement in designated storage areas.

  • Maintain accurate transaction records and audit trails for all received, cleaned, tested, or disposed materials to support compliance and traceability.

  • Operate and maintain cleaning, testing, and sterilization equipment in accordance with regulatory, accreditation, and safety standards.

  • Ensure a clean, safe, and organized warehouse and supply environment that supports efficient operations and infection control standards.

  • Assist with delivery and transportation of supplies, equipment, and materials across facilities while following all safety and compliance guidelines.

  • Transfill oxygen cylinders and manage related processes in accordance with FDA, DOT, and accreditation requirements.

  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely , safe, and accurate supply and equipment handling.

  • Support inventory integrity and workflow efficiency by assisting with tracking, storage optimization, and material movement processes.

Qualifications

Education:

  • High school diploma/GED required .

  • Vocational school graduates preferred .

Experience:

  • One (1) year of experience in a healthcare-related field preferred.

License(s)/Certification(s):

  • Valid   driver's   license   when   driving   any   vehicle   for   work-related   reasons   required .

  • Valid Auto Insurance required when driving personal vehicle.
