Our Waukesha Engineering Services team is seeking a passionate and ambitious intern or Co-Op who is willing to work on a variety of office and field functions to improve the places we live, work, and play. On any given day, you'll:

  • Assist with construction observation of municipal infrastructure projects.

  • Perform quantity measurements and computations, record keeping, contractor pay estimate preparation and review of contractor progress; materials testing; field staking and general inspection for municipal road and utility projects.

  • Prepare reports, review design standards and code requirements, and conduct field investigation of design problems.

  • Work closely with field staff and project managers.

Required Qualifications:

  • Pursuing an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering technology, or a related field.

  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record required.

  • Reliable means of transportation to travel to the office and project sites.

Desired Skills and Experiences:

  • Coursework or experience construction observation, Civil3D or autoCAD, underground utilities, survey or municipal design is beneficial.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
