Job Summary and Qualifications

Our imaging teams are a committed, caring group of professionals. We are currently seeking a Florida-licensed Mammography Technician to perform outline preventative and diagnostic mammographic procedures including stereotactic, ABBI and breast needle localization procedures. As a Mammographer under the direction of a Radiologist, your duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Perform mammography/radiology studies in a careful, compassionate and respectful manner obtaining high-quality images ready for interpretation

  • Prepare, transfer and position patients as needed ensuring modesty, safely utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices indicated

  • Document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time

  • Maintain proactive and effective communication with patient and other caregiver colleagues to include the radiologist

  • Check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases and keep room stocked with necessary supplies

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a 24-month Radiology Technology program at an AMA approved school

  • Minimum of 1-3 years previous Mammography Tech experience

  • Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT)

  • Valid ARRT (M) certification

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

  • Knowledge of the use and maintenance of equipment specific to mammography

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
