Description
Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Structural Flux-Core Welders. The pay rate is up to $35/hour plus $100/per diem to Travelers 60+ miles from the Jobsite. If you are a Welder and want to work alongside other proven craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity and superior craftsmanship, this is your chance to advance your career!
Job Scope:
-
Perform structural steel welding in a fabrication shop environment
-
Weld light and heavy beams, columns, and structural assemblies
-
Perform FCAW/Flux-Core welding in accordance with project specifications
-
Follow applicable Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)
-
Read and interpret structural drawings and welding symbols
-
Perform groove and fillet welds to required quality standards
-
Maintain production requirements while ensuring weld quality
-
Inspect completed welds and make necessary corrections or repairs
-
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
-
Work extended shifts, weekends, and overtime as required by the project
Requirements:
-
Must pass various weld tests
-
Previous experience with structural steel fabrication
-
Strong FCAW/Flux-Core welding experience
-
Experience with heavy fabrication
-
Experience welding beams, columns, and structural assemblies
-
Proficiency with groove and fillet welds
-
Experience working from WPS requirements
-
Ability to read structural drawings and weld symbols
-
AWS or other recognized structural welding certifications are preferred
-
Current or expired welding certifications are encouraged
