Food Industry Technology Instructor FPSA & Lincoln College Partnership Program

Help develop the next generation of food manufacturing and industrial maintenance professionals.

Lincoln College, in partnership with the Food Production Solutions Association (FPSA) , is seeking a Food Industry Technology (FIT) Instructor to deliver hands-on technical training that prepares learners for high-demand careers in food processing, manufacturing, automation, and maintenance. This unique industry-driven program combines classroom instruction with real-world applications to build the workforce of tomorrow.

What You'll Do

  • Deliver engaging training in classrooms, labs, and industry settings

  • Teach electrical, mechanical, mechatronics, and automation concepts

  • Lead hands-on labs, simulations, and practical skill development

  • Coach, mentor, and support student success

  • Track attendance, progress, and performance

  • Collaborate with industry partners to ensure workforce relevance

  • Promote safety, compliance, and industry best practices

What You'll Bring

✅ Experience in food processing, manufacturing, maintenance, mechatronics, or industrial automation

✅ Strong knowledge of:

  • PLCs and troubleshooting

  • Ladder logic programming

  • Electrical and mechanical systems

  • Industrial controls and automation

✅ Effective communication and coaching skills

✅ Prior teaching, training, mentoring, or leadership experience preferred

✅ Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related technical field, or equivalent industry experience

✅ Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
