Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Network Engineer with a strong background in Service Provider networking, WAN, MPLS, and IS-IS routing. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience designing, deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting complex, large-scale WAN and service provider networks. This role requires deep technical expertise in MPLS architecture, WAN solutions, advanced routing protocols, and network automation. As part of our Professional Services Organization, you will work directly with customers to design, implement, and support critical network infrastructure. You will serve as a technical expert, providing guidance on complex network architectures, troubleshooting, and deployment strategies. We are looking for an engineer who has worked directly with service provider networks and has practical, production-level experience with MPLS and IS-IS, rather than someone whose background is primarily focused on data center networking or enterprise WAN connectivity.

- Design, implement, configure, and troubleshoot large-scale service provider and enterprise WAN network environments.
- Deploy, optimize, and support WAN solutions, including integration with existing MPLS and IP-based WAN infrastructure.
- Design, implement, and maintain MPLS networks, including Layer 3 VPNs, VRFs, and provider edge routing.
- Configure, troubleshoot, and optimize IS-IS routing protocols within service provider and large-scale network environments.
- Design and implement advanced BGP and MP-BGP routing solutions, including route policies and traffic engineering.
- Review customer network designs and provide recommendations for WAN, MPLS, and service provider network deployments.
- Support migrations and interconnections between Cisco, Juniper, Arista, and other networking platforms. ● Provide hands-on configuration, implementation, troubleshooting, and ongoing operational support for complex customer networks.
- Assist with network provisioning automation using Python, Ansible, Arista AVD, CloudVision Portal (CVP), and related tools.
- Support proof-of-concept testing, implementation planning, change controls, and network performance validation.
Skills and Requirements
- 8-10+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering, design, deployment, and troubleshooting.
- 5+ years of experience working with Service Provider or carrier-grade network environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with WAN architecture, configuration, deployment, troubleshooting, and integration with existing WAN infrastructure.
- Deep technical expertise in MPLS design, implementation, configuration, and maintenance within production networks.
- Strong hands-on experience with IS-IS routing, including configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization in large-scale networks.
- Advanced knowledge of BGP and MP-BGP, including routing policies, route redistribution, and complex routing architectures.
- Experience working with large-scale WAN infrastructure, including provider edge and core routing technologies.
- Strong understanding of Layer 2/Layer 3 networking, IP routing, network resiliency, and traffic engineering.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex network issues independently and provide technical recommendations to customers. Additional technical qualifications
- Experience with EVPN/VXLAN and data center routing and switching.
- Experience with network automation using Ansible and Python.
- Familiarity with Arista AVD and CloudVision Portal (CVP).
- Knowledge of IPv6 design, deployment, and dual-stack network operations.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and network automation workflows.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills.
- Strong written communication skills, including technical documentation, implementation plans, and ticket tracking.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, technical teams, and business stakeholders.
