POSITION INFORMATION

Position: Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical Unit Location: Lyons, New Jersey Employment Type: Full-Time Opportunity Type: Anticipated Future Opportunity Schedule: Day and night shifts, including rotating weekends Pay Range: $32.76-$45.00 per hour

POSITION SUMMARY

EGA Associates is identifying qualified Registered Nurses for an anticipated opportunity supporting a Medical Surgical Unit in Lyons, New Jersey.

The Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in an acute care setting. This role requires strong clinical judgment, effective communication, and the ability to collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver safe, high-quality, patient-centered care.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care based on clinical needs.
• Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions in accordance with established protocols.
• Monitor patient conditions, recognize changes in health status, and communicate concerns promptly to the appropriate healthcare team members.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary staff to coordinate and support patient care.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and complete documentation in the electronic health record.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and ongoing care needs.
• Follow established clinical policies, infection prevention practices, and patient safety standards.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to provide safe, effective nursing care in an acute care environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of one year of recent Medical Surgical nursing experience.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Previous acute care hospital experience.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR).

SCHEDULE AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Full-time position.
• Day and night shifts.
• Rotating weekend schedule.
• Work within an acute care hospital environment as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
