Are you passionate about working in the human service field and need an internship to complete your course ? EAC Network, a leading not-for-profit social service agency dedicated to helping over 80,000 people through 100 impactful programs across Long Island and NYC, is looking for a Human Service Intern to join our agency.
Position Summary:
The Human Services Intern is an unpaid internships that will allow gain hands-on experience supporting community-based programs that serve children, families, Seniors, individuals involved in the justice system, and individuals seeking behavioral health and supportive services. Interns will work alongside experienced professionals and contribute to service delivery, client engagement, case management support, outreach efforts, data collection, and administrative functions while developing practical skills in the nonprofit and human services field. Opportunities may be available across various EAC Network programs located in the NYC and Long Island regions.
Schedule:

Flexible schedule with a Maximum of 20 Hours per week

Internship duration is for the 2026-2027 school year
Essential Responsibilities:

Assist program staff with daily operations and service delivery.

Support client intake, referrals, and resource coordination activities.

Observe and participate in case management and client support services as appropriate.

Assist with community outreach, education, and engagement initiatives.

Maintain accurate records, databases, and program documentation.
-
Prepare reports, correspondence, and program materials.
-
Attend team meetings, trainings, and supervision sessions.

Support special projects and program events.
-
Adhere to agency policies, confidentiality requirements, and professional standards.
