\n Key Responsibilities\x26nbsp;\x26nbsp; \n

The Hardware Engineer will\x26nbsp;Provide hardware engineering expertise to analyze complex hardware systems, hardware design, architecture, network design and other technical hardware issues. \n

\n </li>\n

Procure and perform acceptance testing on equipment. \n

\n </li>\n

Provide hardware maintenance support, both preventative and remedial. \n

\n </li>\n

Deploy, install, and implement hardware in the Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS). \n

\n </li>\n

Prepares specifications for hardware by analyzing documented and derived system requirements. \n

\n </li>\n

Conduct site surveys. \n

\n </li>\n

Prepares engineering plans and site Technical Design Packages. \n

\n </li>\n

Organize and direct hardware installations. \n

\n </li>\n

Configure (and document configuration of) computers, networking devices and various peripheral equipment. \n

\n </li>\n

Prepare site installation and test reports. \n

\n </li>\n

Ensure that problems have been properly identified and solutions will satisfy the user’s requirements. \n

\n </li>\n

Prepare reports and recommendations concerning existing and emerging hardware technologies. \n

\n </li>\n

Provide specific input to the hardware components of system design to include end-user devices, servers, networking \n

\n </li>\n </ul>\n

The Hardware Engineer shall possess the following capabilities \n

\n \n

Prepare functional requirements and specifications for hardware acquisitions. \n

\n </li>\n

Analyze hardware specifications and system/subsystem requirements to conceive and document a practical design for hardware components to include servers, network devices, transmission media, storage devices, user interface devices, and special processors. \n

\n </li>\n

Ensure that problems with operational hardware have been properly identified and solutions will satisfy the user’s requirements. \n

\n </li>\n

Assist with preparing installation guides, field test procedures, and troubleshooting guides. \n

\n </li>\n

Conduct site surveys; assess and document current site network configuration and site-unique requirements. \n

\n </li>\n

Develop hardware installation schedules based upon set-up, integration, and test timelines. \n

\n </li>\n

Train site personnel in the proper use of hardware. \n

\n </li>\n

Recommend specifications for hardware acquisitions. \n

\n </li>\n

Prepare engineering plans and site installation of Technical Design Packages. \n

\n </li>\n

Prepare drawings documenting as-built configuration at each site. \n

\n </li>\n

Prepare site installation and test reports. \n

\n </li>\n

Configure computers, communication devices, and peripheral equipment. \n

\n </li>\n

Requires a Bachelors degree in Communication Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, or related discipline from an accredited college or university. \n

Requires fourteen (14) years of experience as a Hardware Engineer analyzing complex hardware systems for SIGINT solutions. \n

\n </li>\n

Five (5) years of additional hardware engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelors degree. \n

Position will require travel. \n
