Job Description Provides leadership to staff by coaching, guiding and modeling key behaviours, encourages dialogue and provides guidance and advice to facilitate resolutions to work issues. Assists team members to define shared and individual goals, meet target dates and ensure alignment of team goals.

People Services, Director The People Services Director is responsible for coordinating and directing employee relations programs and HR functions. This position plays a key role in labor relations, policy and procedure development, wage and salary structure, compliance, and workforce strategy. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement employee relations programs to foster a positive and family-friendly work environment.

  • Oversee policy creation, workforce planning, compliance, and recruitment best practices.

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align HR strategies with organizational goals.

  • Provide guidance on labor relations, disciplinary actions, grievance resolution, and HR compliance.

  • Lead talent acquisition efforts, including hiring strategies, outreach, and onboarding.

  • Supervise and direct HR team members to ensure successful execution of training, employee education programs, and staff development.

  • Develop and present the HR department budget, ensuring financial efficiency.

  • Provide HR training for directors, managers, and employees on HR policies and best practices.

Qualifications Must-Haves:

  • Healthcare industry experience.

  • Union experience (labor relations, negotiations, conflict resolution).

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Public Relations, or Human Resources.

Nice-To-Haves:

  • SPHR or SHRM-SCP certification.

  • Master’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
