Full job description
Description
Prime Air is seeking a Technical Program Manager to drive airworthiness certification programs for the MK30 unmanned aircraft system. You will own the plans, schedules, and compliance tracking that turn certification strategy into execution. This role sits at the intersection of engineering and regulatory compliance. You will coordinate across software, hardware, systems, and test teams to keep certification deliverables on track and surface risks early.
A key dimension of this role is international regulatory coordination. Prime Air operates across multiple countries, each with its own aviation authority and certification expectations. You will manage the programs that drive international approvals of the drone system. You will track regulatory deltas across jurisdictions and maximize reuse of compliance evidence, so each country is not run as a separate program.
You will report to the Senior Manager, Engineering Certification.
Key job responsibilities
Own the plans, schedules, and compliance matrices for Prime Air's certification programs across DO-178C (software), DO-254 (hardware), and DO-160G (environmental qualification).
Track certification objectives against engineering deliverables. Identify gaps and dependencies early, and drive them to closure.
Partner with engineering teams to sequence certification work within the development lifecycle. Escalate schedule and resource risks to leadership.
Build and maintain the status reporting, metrics, and dashboards that give leadership visibility into certification progress
Coordinate the programs that support regulatory engagement across the markets Prime Air operates in (EASA, CASA, DGCA, CAA, JCAB, and others).
Track regulatory requirements and deltas across authorities. Manage the evidence reuse plan that supports bilateral validation processes (for example, FAA-to-EASA) to reduce international approval timelines.
Monitor emerging regulations (for example, EU U-Space, FAA BVLOS rulemaking) and fold new requirements into program plans before they become blockers.
Drive alignment across engineering, regulatory, and certification teams on scope, milestones, and means of compliance.
Support the Senior Manager and certification engineers in preparing compliance arguments and documentation for the FAA, EASA, and international DERs/CVEs.
Establish and improve the program mechanisms that scale certification delivery as Prime Air expands internationally.
