Onondaga Community College in Syracuse, NY, is accepting applications for an adjunct instructor in our Business Administration program to teach classes in Beginning Entrepreneurship ENT-101 and/or Advanced Entrepreneurship ENT-201.

ENT-101: This introductory course is designed to provide a basic understanding of the fundamentals of entrepreneurship, and the factors that promote and challenge the creation and success of a small business. Students will research and identify an opportunity and prepare a preliminary plan for launching their chosen business. Students will use their preliminary plan as the basis for their business plan proposal in the Advanced Entrepreneurship Course. This course is taught on campus in a face-to-face format.

ENT-201: This advanced course builds on the knowledge of entrepreneurial principles learned in ENT 101, Introduction to Entrepreneurship. The course culminates with the creation and presentation of a finalized business plan proposal, based on student preliminary work from ENT 101 Introduction to Entrepreneurship. Prerequisite(s): ENT 101. This course is taught on campus in a face-to-face format.
The Adjunct instructor is responsible for all aspects of preparation, instruction, and classroom management. These include but are not limited to learning management system (LMS) integration and maintenance, instruction and content delivery, preparing and grading assignments and exams, timely responses to student inquiries, and assessing student performance relative to standardized learning objectives.
Job Requirements:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- MBA from a regionally accredited college, university or foreign equivalency.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

Experience with D2L Brightspace or comparable LMS.

Prior experience as Small Business Owner

Prior experience teaching college-level entrepreneurship courses.

Availability to teach during the day however, evening courses can be scheduled

Bilingual in English and Spanish. English and other languages will be considered.
Additional Information:
-
Adjunct rate of pay for the 26/27 academic year is $1,527/credit hour. Classes will be assigned on an as needed basis dependent upon enrollment.

Adjuncts are eligible to participate in the NYS Teacher's Retirement System.
