Location: Geisinger Medical Center (GMC) Shift: Nights (United States of America) Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Worker Type: Regular Exemption Status: Yes Job Summary: Geisinger Medical Center (GMC), the flagship academic medical center of Geisinger, is seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Nocturnist to join our Hospital Medicine team in Danville, Pennsylvania.

As a Nocturnist APP, you will provide high-quality inpatient care in a collaborative, team-based environment alongside hospitalists, specialists, residents, and nursing staff. This position offers the opportunity to practice at a nationally recognized tertiary and quaternary care center while making a meaningful impact on patient care during overnight hours. Job Duties:

  • Full-time nocturnist position
  • 7 PM- 7 AM Schedule
  • 7-on/7-off block schedule
  • Competitive compensation with night stipend

Position Details:

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing inpatient management
  • Admit, evaluate, and coordinate care for hospitalized patients
  • Collaborate with attending physicians, specialists, nursing teams, and ancillary staff
  • Respond to overnight clinical changes and urgent patient needs
  • Participate in patient and family communication regarding care plans
  • Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Support safe patient transitions and continuity of care

Education: Master's Degree-Physician Assistant (Required) Experience:
