Job Description

Direct Care Professional — $19.00/hour - $28.00/hour to start, no experience needed

AWARE · Butte, Montana · Full-time, part-time and weekend-only

What you will earn:

$19.00 an hour starting, with no previous experience required.

$28.00 an hour on weekend overnight shifts in our Intensive homes. Night, weekend and Intensive pay stack on top of your base rate.

A raise every year on your anniversary — 5% after year one, 5% again after year two.

Already have experience? Bring it. Four years of comparable work starts you at $22.23 an hour.

BENEFITS: Health Insurance, FSA, HSA, 401k, Employee Assistance Program, Tuition Advancement, Professional Development.

What the job is:

You support people with disabilities and mental health needs in living the life they choose. Day to day, that looks like helping someone get ready in the morning, cooking a meal together, driving to an appointment or a job, working through a hard moment when it comes, and writing down how the day went so the next person on shift knows.

It is real work. Some days are heavy. The people you support are not problems to be managed, and we do not talk about them that way; our whole approach is built on the idea that everyone deserves care without conditions attached.

Requirements

What we are looking for

  • You are 18 or older with a high school diploma or GED.

  • You have a valid driver’s license and can pass a background check.

  • You can be relied on to turn up for your shift, because someone is counting on you being there.

  • You are patient with people on their worst day.

No degree, no certification and no prior caregiving experience needed. We train you.

Shifts:

We staff around the clock, so there is likely a schedule that fits yours — days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and weekend-only positions if you already have another job or you are studying. Tell us what works and we will tell you honestly what we have.

How to apply:

Apply at www.aware-inc.org. It takes about ten minutes. We respond to every application within one business day, and if it looks like a fit, we will get you an interview within three.
