Full job description
RESPONSIBILITIES
I. JOB SUMMARY:

Assists in coordinating and monitoring of the daily operations Queen's North Hawaii Community Hospital (QNHCH) Ambulatory Clinics.
-
Assists Manager in ensuring functions and activities performed are within department and QNHCH policies and procedures, and operations meet quality standards and established organizational goals and objectives
-
Performs administrative support activities for the Manager.
II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
A. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

B. MANUAL MATERIAL HANDLING:

III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.
IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A. EDUCATION:
-
High School diploma or equivalent.
-
Associate's degree required; or two (2) years administrative/clerical experience or in healthcare may substitute for the educational requirement.
B. CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
- No certification and/or licensure requirement.
C. EXPERIENCE:
-
In addition to the educational requirement, one (1) year administrative, secretarial, medical office, operational or coordination experience.

Experience working with electronic health records (EHR) and practice management systems preferred.
-
Experience in a healthcare, physician practice, ambulatory clinic, or hospital setting preferred.
-
Experience to demonstrate:
o Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel).
o Ability to communicate in English effectively, both verbal and in writing with a broad range of people.
o Ability to provide excellent customer service.
o Knowledge of medical terminology.
o Demonstrated ability to work effectively with physicians.
o Demonstrated knowledge in third party and government payor and reimbursement regulations, including Medicare/Medicaid program requirements.
- Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding preferred.
