Full job description

Our client, a leading global provider of commercial real estate services and facility management solutions, is seeking a Building Engineer to join their team. As a Building Engineer, you will be part of the Facilities Operations team supporting building systems, infrastructure, and site maintenance activities. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, excellent customer service skills, and a proactive problem-solving mindset which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Conroe, TX

Schedule: Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM | Overtime as Needed | On-Call for Emergencies Only

Pay Range: $38/hr

What’s the Job?

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on building systems including mechanical, plumbing, electrical, roofing, and general facility equipment.

  • Respond to work orders and complete repairs while maintaining compliance with safety procedures, company policies, and applicable regulations.

  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain HVAC, plumbing, fire/life safety, and other building systems to ensure efficient operation.

  • Assist with facility upkeep including painting, grounds maintenance, and general building repairs throughout the industrial site.

  • Support emergency repairs as needed and maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment.

What’s Needed?

  • High School Diploma or GED required; trade school training preferred.

  • Experience in building maintenance, facilities maintenance, industrial maintenance, or a related skilled trade environment.

  • Knowledge of mechanical systems, basic electrical troubleshooting, and plumbing repairs.

  • Ability to safely perform physically demanding work, including climbing stairs, accessing rooftops, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

  • Basic computer skills, strong communication abilities, and a customer-service-oriented mindset.
