Description

As a Substitute Group Leader you will oversee children in the YWCA Central Massachusetts' after school programs at either the Roosevelt School or Clark Street School in Worcester, 2:00pm - 5:30pm, as needed,

Responsibilities include:

  • Implementing and maintaining an environment which includes a balance of social, recreational and structured activities and where children can learn and grow, interact comfortably with adults, and participate in individual and group activities.

  • Supervising children in play and structured activities.

  • Maintaining a safe and clean environment for children, performing light housekeeping duties as needed.

  • Communicating with parents on a daily basis regarding progress of their child, participating in parent activities as appropriate, and working with School Age Site Coordinator in working with families who are in need of intervention.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 18 years of age

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum of 3 months experience working with school age children

  • Ability to relate with coworkers/parents in a cooperative and positive manner.
