Job Description

One of Insight Globals clients is seeking a Top Secret Database Enterprise Architect IV. This person will serve as the senior technical lead for infrastructure modernization and datacenter transformation initiatives within highly secure government environments. This individual will partner directly with customers, engineering teams, and executive stakeholders to assess current-state infrastructure, identify gaps and risks, develop future-state architectures, and build strategic modernization roadmaps. Day to day, they will lead technical discovery sessions, architecture workshops, whiteboarding discussions, and solution reviews while helping customers make decisions around compute, networking, storage, virtualization, containers, cloud, cybersecurity, and overall datacenter strategy. The ideal candidate brings broad enterprise infrastructure experience and can effectively translate mission and business requirements into scalable, secure, and supportable technical solutions while communicating with both executive leadership and hands-on engineering teams throughout the design and modernization lifecycle.

This is a 100% onsite 6-month contract to hire position in Linthicum Heights or Annapolis Junction, MD offering a pay range of $170K - $198K depending on experience. Please apply if interested!

Skills and Requirements

  • Active Top Secret Clearance (TS/SCI preferred)
  • Experience serving as a customer-facing Enterprise Architect, Solutions Architect, Principal Engineer, or Technical Lead supporting datacenter or infrastructure modernization efforts
  • Deep architecture experience across the modern datacenter stack including compute, networking, storage, backup/disaster recovery, virtualization, containers, and infrastructure platforms
  • Experience designing and modernizing enterprise infrastructure environments, including hybrid cloud architectures and datacenter transformation initiatives
  • Strong ability to assess current-state environments, develop architecture roadmaps, and present technical solutions to both executive and engineering audiences
  • Experience with Azure Government and/or GCC High environments
  • Experience with Kubernetes and enterprise container platforms
  • Knowledge of Zero Trust Architecture and cybersecurity best practices
  • Experience with Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD, or other infrastructure automation tools
  • Experience supporting classified government or DoD environments
