Full job description
In this role you will be responsible for:
-
Reporting to the Engineering Coordinator and will be responsible for all functions relating to the position Artisan (Millwright).
-
Maintaining and adhering to the Mine Health and Safety Act.
-
Ensuring that all SAP PM and MM requirements are met for engineering sections.
-
Maintain and/or repairing of mechanical and electrical equipment.
-
Capturing and updating of routine reports and any ad hoc office duties.
-
Good knowledge and experience on conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, mini subs and VDS/soft starters.MV switching, phasing, testing, jointing and maintaining.
-
Self-driven to implement continuous improvements on equipment’s with regards to capacity increase in terms of plant availability tons.

Responsible for breakdowns and planned maintenance for all conveyors, gearboxes and pump equipment.

Management of critical spares.
-
Ensuring implementation of management decisions, legal requirements, and the company

Compliance with the company’s HSEC system
About you:
-
Grade 12 & N2 qualification
-
Valid Section 13/ 26D Millwright Trade
-
Completed POE (Portfolio of Evidence) for trade certificate
-
3 years’ experience on MV switching, phasing, testing, jointing and maintenance of MV switchgear.
-
At least 3 years’ experience as an Artisan (Millwright) in a mining underground environment
-
Candidate must be willing to work overtime & standby
-
Medically fit to work on surface and at heights
-
Computer Literate (MS Office, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)

Good knowledge and understanding of the Mine Health and Safety Act and relevant legislation
